LOVEYS survive covid and floods

Yes, we were one of the many bands who had to cancel whole tours, many gigs and even home rehearsals during that crazy time of lockdowns, masks, closed borders and covid worries. It was a long time between gigs, but we decided to use the time to write new material, plan ahead, and meet online…. As the fog lifted and we were able to emerge from our houses, we hosted a few small house concerts and started applying for hopefully upcoming festivals. Then the rains started…. Our first attempt at a bigger concert was at our beloved Picture House in Brunswick Heads….it was a rainy Saturday afternoon…..many of our loyal fans made it to a very special afternoon which we all needed and loved. Little were we to know that this was the first day of relentless, flooding rain that destroyed many of our houses and roads and schools and shops and again interrupted our lives hugely.. we stashed our CDs as we cleaned up a terrible mess in our beloved community.

Festivals were moved again to a more hopeful time and we just kept on rehearsing and polishing songs , waitiing in hope for a better future.
